Puerto de la Cruz
We like Puerto de la Cruz. It's on the north side of the island, central
to everything, and is the Canarian equivalent of Florida, in the US, when it
comes to its retiree population.
We, however, are not quite ready for retirement, and Puerto offers many things that
we middle-aged folks enjoy. Great food, an interesting assortment of people, shopping,
and nightlife, and its not far from anywhere on Tenerife...as the crow flies, at any rate.
We've stayed twice, now, at Hotel San Telmo, right in the heart of the city,
overlooking the water. These shots are from in, around, and above Puerto de la Cruz.
