We selected a bottle of wine from Bodegas El Grifo, right up the street, and several, um,
interesting things to eat. This is a Lanzarotean lunch, on a Sunday, right before this place
became packed with native Lanzaroteans who had just gotten out of church. But, ever one step
ahead this day, for some reason, Ulla and I enjoyed a silent moment over an excellent bottle
of wine which complemented the food precisely. Yum.
And, yes, I did eat and enjoy the octopus!

It's my impression that the green you see in these pictures was inspired by the plants
that managed to grow here. In such an arid place, any green is good. Maybe that's what
Manrique was thinking when he designed this. Surrounded by black, it's what I was thinking.
