The first city we could see was Puerto del Carmen, south of the airport, and further south from
Arrecife. Puerto del Carmen was not on our list of places to visit. It is extremely built up and
touristic, which is a shame for anywhere on this island. And the same thing is happening to Playa
Blanca, which is also a shame. But more about that in Playa Blanca.
