The Ahr River Valley: Wine Country

This is Germany's northernmost wine producing area. The Ahr River has carved a beautiful
valley out of this part of the country. It is just south of Bonn and due west from Remagen.
People have used the sides of the valley to produce what I think is some of the finest wine
I've ever tasted. Ulla and I took a drive, and a hike or two, to explore this incredible area.

to make eisewein	"These are all vineyards, and the Ahr meets the Rhine near Remagen behind me, over there," said my tourguider.	People crawl up and down the sides of these mountains...	...to harvest these grapes to make wine
The Ahr River Valley	I was amazed	one stone, one grape at a time	we will come back to here when these vines are full of grapes...
"Are you sure you want to come back when the vines are full of grapes?"	"You know that people here would want you to help with the harvest..."	I had a look on the gas prices...	...and a look on our future home...
